Todoist <> Obsidian

There’s an explicable feeling of joy when you realize in the past you have made a decision that helped the current you and that’s what I’m feeling when I found out today there’s an integration of To-doist with Obsidian.
I have been using To-doist since 2018 and it was after doing hand-written to-do lists for a long long time. What really sold me was the global capture functionality where wherever I am on my computer, but just typing CMD + ALT + A, I can quickly capture a task into the right category, the right due date, right priority, and move on with my work. This was all based on the GTD done model where you are encouraged to capture all your tasks as quickly as possible so that you are not worried about anything being lost.
When I first started using Obsidian more than a year ago, I knew that I had found something that could support all my documenting, journaling, personal reviews, and writing needs. But one thing I always knew was how I want to keep, because of my adoption of To-doist as one of my core productivity tools, to keep my writing and task management separate and I have been doing that for as long as I’ve used Obsidian…until today.
Again, because of the open-source beauty as a tool and passionate developers who have contributed so many amazing community plugins, I discovered there is a plugin for a two-way sync with to-doist. To start, this means that I am able to display AND manage tasks with any filters or views I want from my task-management system.
It feels like I’ve connected both of my infinity stones to my gauntlet, and I am feeling so powerful. Sometimes personal systems can be such a thing of joy and beauty. Onward!
