Todoist or not Todoist

I seem to struggle to settle on a single task management system. Over the years, I’ve experimented with various options, including Apple Reminders, Things 3, and other methods. Each of these almost met my needs, but a minor limitation consistently proved too frustrating to overlook. Recently, switching my primary email platform to Outlook has further disrupted my workflows, especially those involving converting emails into tasks. Since I often need to follow up on emails, having a quick and easy way to turn a message into a task is extremely important to me, and the recent changes have made this more challenging than before.

Today, I took some time to revisit Todoist. Although I’ve explored its features before, recent updates and improvements might make it worth a second look, especially considering how much it has evolved over time. I also decided to check out Pleexy again, hoping it could serve as the missing piece by automatically syncing my flagged Outlook emails with Todoist, which could streamline my workflow. There’s a certain humour in endlessly searching for the “perfect” task manager, trying to find that one ideal system. Perhaps such an ideal system doesn’t truly exist. Maybe the real goal is to find one that reduces friction enough for me to stop tinkering, to stop searching, and finally start getting things done with less hassle and more focus.
