Tridekatrilogy

Today I’m reading book 30 of Ascendance of a Bookworm. There are three books left in the series, and I’m hoping to finish the series this year once the final three books are translated.

I started reading the series two years ago and I would have finished sooner if the translations had been complete. I’ve heard the series is over 3 million words and contains almost 350 characters.

I’ll admit, sometimes a character talks and I have no idea anymore who they are. I just say, whatever.

I can remember being impressed when my brother read the dekalogy Mission Earth which weighed in at 1.2-million words. That took 10 trips to the Parish library to complete.

Writing a series this long is quite impressive. Getting people to read the whole thing is even more impressive.
