Trip re-planning

With our Le Puy Camino walk cancelled, reworking our entire trip itinerary has become quite a challenging and somewhat stressful task. The main advantage of having the travel company take care of the route planning and accommodations was that they managed all the bookings and organised the route for us, which made everything much simpler and more convenient. Now, since the walk is off, I find myself hurriedly trying to rearrange the entire trip, including finding suitable overnight stays, transportation, and activities, all while ensuring that the new plans fit within our schedule and preferences.
As an alternative plan, we are considering spending three weeks exploring Scandinavia, with visits to Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, and the breathtaking fjords en route. I am currently utilising artificial intelligence to assist in creating a high-level itinerary, which I then incorporate into my detailed trip schedule for review. This process enables me to assess whether we have an excessive number of travel segments or if our sightseeing opportunities are well-balanced. Since the trip involves some driving between destinations, I’ve input the main locations into AI to estimate the driving times and distances, ensuring realistic planning. After a few hours of meticulous planning and adjustments, we’re both feeling increasingly excited and more confident about our upcoming adventure.
