I got the Quest 2 all set up to play copied games yesterday, which was all very easy to do.

You just have to sign up as an Oculus developer, connect your Quest to your computer and run an app that downloads and installs games from a list of options. All very easy to do.

So @therealbrandonwilson, I have been playing Eleven Table Tennis to get used to it. I only nearly hit the wife once as she was sitting on the sofa near me. It’s very clever and I nearly fell for the feeling that I could put the controllers down on the virtual table when I wanted to stop.

I have also played a quick multiplayer game of crazy golf, whacked the hell out of a glowing ball in Racket NX and started my Beat Saber career too. I was just trying out The Walking Dead game and managed to whack our ceiling lights as I was trying to drive a screwdriver into the back of a zombie’s head. I broke something, so need to find the superglue. I also need to find a better play space if I am going to end up doing that all the time.

I haven’t experienced motion sickness yet as such. However, I have noticed that when I start playing, my bowels turn to gassy liquid and I am farting lots and hurrying to the toilet before I have an accident. I looked it up and it is a slight side-effect of motion sickness.

Hopefully it will pass as I get used to it.

Remember kids, if you poop in VR, you poop in RL too.

Comments

Thankfully, I did not have the poop reaction. I found Racket NX as well and find it to be a good warm up to ping pong.

The poop reflex is surprising and unexpected! How strange

@tao I wonder if some over-the-counter meclizine would help with those symptoms.
