Waves of resistance

My hyper awareness of myself is mostly good, but it still not used to its full potential. Lately, I have been trying to understand why do I have resistance to carry on with my plans or tasks even though my focus is clear and my goals are simple and short.

A good example is today’s checklist which included changing few items on my website. It’s really a simple task, but why wouldn’t I do it? There is a wave of resistance literally like someone is pushing me away from it just because it’s planned. At the same time, I am highly active on other tasks that I don’t usually find entertaining like taking the trash and cleaning around.

I find this strange and frustrating. I wonder what is going on and where that wave is coming from.

I’m not sure what the root cause of the resistance is in this situation. It might help to commit to 30 minutes of working on the task and only that task. Maybe there’s a really simple next action that you’ve not clarified, which is making the task feel almost impossible (for example, finding your website credentials).

Is your checklist a “to do” list or a “get done” list?
