Worldbuilder's disease

Worldbuilder’s disease is a label thrown around, usually by writers with small minds who have a limited view of what writing should be. They define writing as an exploration of human psychology. The writing should explore desire, emotional truth, and blah blah blah.

Worldbuilding is a human desire. The mind wants to imagine other places and how lives would be different in a different climate, a unique society, and different tools at hand.

Meanwhile, some human minds want to impose their own worldview on others. Thankfully, the worldbuilder can’t be contained in that thin slice, and ignore the naysayers as they explore a world of possibilities.
