Writing articles with TK

I am writing an article for Medium today before the sun sets. I have three drafts I abandoned in the past couple months, but today I’m starting over with a recipe developed with Medium’s new writing tool, TK.

I used a chunk of the built-in AI they offer to set up six content formats based on what I’ve written on Medium before. Since I signed in with my Medium account, TK knows my articles and statistics and used that data to set boundaries and build recipes around what worked in the past.

Boundary (from TK): Every piece uses a framework from neuroscience or psychology to explain what happens in a writer’s or reader’s head.

My own brain is most likely to derail me, today. If the writing feels too hard, I might shift to work on something more fun like researching. This is how I end up with hundreds of reports and ideas to write about instead of articles I’ve written. I should be setting boundaries on my own behavior: If I don’t finish writing the article, I don’t do the fun research.

I think I’ve got a good chance of getting at least halfway through the article today. The format should keep me focused so I don’t try to pack every idea into one piece.
