I experience a wide range of physical and mental sensations when I practice yoga. Sometimes it feels like a calming and meditative activity, other times, I find it to be a challenging and invigorating workout.

Physically, yoga can help me improve my flexibility, strength, and balance. In tonight’s class, the instructor was happy to stretch my muscles a little further as I moved through different poses. It certainly raised my heart rate and made me sweat during the more active practices, such as vinyasa.

Yoga also helps me relax and reduce stress. I find that I can focus on my breathing and be present in the moment. This helps to quiet my mind and improve my overall sense of well-being. Practising yoga regularly can also help me develop a greater sense of self-awareness and mindfulness.
Ultimately, the way yoga feels will depend on an individual experience, and the type of yoga practiced. Though I initially found it challenging, it has become a rewarding and enjoyable activity.
