1 marketing commit per day

I’m already Day 56 out of 366 into my 1 commit per day challenge. So far so good. It’s helping me progress on days that I struggle to commit. It’s helping me stay motivated and accountable amongst peers in a group.

But for the stage that Lists Kit is in, it’s slowly dawning on me that 1 code commit/day alone isn’t enough. It’s great when I’m in the build phase. But for Lists Kit, I’m now in the phase of finding product-market fit, trying to understand my ideal customer, land on the right positioning, and hunting down a ROI-positive and repeatable marketing channel.

You can’t do all that from coding.

So I probably also need to do 1 marketing task every day. It can be anything:

  • Find a new marketing channel. Create an account. Post.
  • Find a niche group/community on social media platforms like Facebook, Reddit where I can participate and contribute.
  • Research some good keywords to target.
  • Write a SEO-optimized, keyword-rich blog article.
  • Finding maker/influencers to sponsor ads on.
  • Creating free tools and side projects to market the main project.
  • Getting backlinks.
  • Submitting to other directories.

So let’s go! 1 marketing commit per day 🔥
