1 week back on keto

Report on 1st week back on keto.

  • Burst of energy, more fast twitch energy in muscles! How weird. Not sure why, and pretty sure I’m not back in ketosis yet… but the energy is welcomed.
  • Feeling hunger pangs more. But nothing unfamiliar. In the past, the hunger pangs would trigger some faint panic. But now I know, it’s okay to stay with the hunger. It’ll pass. Though definitely feel like I need to eat more protein and fat. And I’m not even started on fasting yet.
  • Started at 80kg. Not going to set a weight loss target, will see how it goes, because it’s not really about weight loss. It’s about getting leaner. I remember back then during keto, I gained back 10kg in weight after my first keto streak, but my pants/clothes remained loose (might be muscle gain).
  • No keto flu… yet! It’s mostly due to electrolytes loss, which I’m trying to counter by taking it slow this time.

Onwards to better health!
