10 years of trying

I remember 2 individuals being the early inspiration for going indie hacker - Pieter Levels and Jon Yongfook

This was around 2014.

Seeing Jon’s slideshow of digital nomading and building a SaaS by the beach, and witnessing Pieter’s bootstrapped, ship fast approach of 12 startups in 12 months.

Those ideas planted seeds in my head, and slowly I got the courage to learning coding, build products and start trying.

It’s been 10 years since.

I’ve definitely tried. And tried hard.

I didn’t imagine myself coding, yet I taught myself.
I didn’t imagine identifying as a coder, yet now I see myself as one.
I didn’t imagine myself being any good at marketing, yet now I can do it.
I didn’t imagine myself earning any MRR, yet I earned my $1 MRR almost 4 years ago.

It’s been a long 10 years.

I’m still not where I want to be. Yet I’ve covered much distance.

I’ve come far.

It’s not good enough yet. But it was good.

What might it take to make each day to be “good enough” ?
