Just hit 100 days of code commits 🟩

But this isn’t a post about power of consistency nor the glory of grinding.

Not gonna lie… I found it hard to sustain on some days.

Even for someone who completed 365 days of commits last year.
Even for someone with 1560 days of daily writing.
Even for someone who trained all his youth in sports to be this disciplined.

But I made a promise to myself to never stop working towards my dream, so I just try again. And again. Even a tiny, laughable task, I do it.

Even through burnout days.
Even through days when everyone in the family fell sick.
Even through 12-14h work days.

Honestly, those daily commits ain’t much. I don’t even know if it truly adds up and compounds. Nobody knows nor can tell the future effects of these actions.

But what I do know, each tiny action affirms—reminds me of—my decision, my commitment, my aspiration.

I need those reminders because I’m afraid.

I’m petrified… that I will forget. Because I’ve been on the other side where day jobs, girls, video games, mid-life crises, hobbies and other shiny objects made me forget. In this world built for distraction and normie-lization, they want you to forget to create and produce, only mindlessly consume as NPCs do.

It’s easy to remember and to act on your dreams, when life is good.

It’s times like now, when overwhelm is a daily thing; when I work 12h shifts; when everyone wants a piece of me, that I need to work all the more harder to never forget.

So I commit.
To not forget.
To remember.

Dreams.
