Just hit 10K followers on Twitter!

Wow 10K…

When I started on Twitter in 2014, I never imagined being able to reach 10k. Those huge accounts seem like gods in the heavens… out of reach. Even when I started to take Twitter seriously around 2019 (or was it earlier? I forgot, details are hazy), I didn’t think I would get there, or thought I might quit before hitting it.

Even now, even after hitting it, I still find it hard to believe that 10k people are interested in what I got to say. I’m trying not to sound like I’m humblebragging, or virtue signalling. I genuinely feel ‘unworthy’ in some sense.

I mean, what do I have that makes me worth following by 10,000 people? Why would I myself follow me?

I don’t have $10k MRR, or $100k revenue.
I don’t launch new products like a maniac.
I don’t have a hit product that’s popular.
I don’t do long posts or threads that educate.
I don’t post hot takes or unpopular opinions.
I don’t do catchy hooks to bait replies.
I’m not that entertaining or funny.
I’m not that good at telling a good story.

All I try to do is to be as real and raw as I can about my indie hacking journey.

Maybe that’s why I took this long.
But maybe that’s enough reason too… I dunno.

But no matter what… GRATEFUL for you all. YES, you. 🙏🙏

Thank you.

Congratulations.
I think honest content still wins eventually. Sure, you could do what everybody else does, but would it be really you? At least that is what I think about my YouTube stuff. I never did actually marketing or anything else, nor heavy edited stuff (yet), but maybe, in 100 years, I could make a living off it, or not. :) For me, it’s about enjoying the creation process.
