12 directories in 12 months

Here’s a dopey idea:
To market and grow Lists Kit, how about I create 12 info directories every month in 2024?
This is taking inspiration from my Carrd plugins project where I launched 1 plugin every month in 2023. I see some similarities between Lists Kit and Carrd plugins, so maybe this could be an idea.
Besides being a great way to showcase how fast and easy it is to ship using Lists Kit, I think the 12 directories could be interesting standalone ‘startups’ in and of themselves. More products launched, more shots on goal of finding a hit product, towards ramen profitability and beyond.
I already have a list of info directories (existing and new ideas) that’s been on the backburner for a while anyway:
- Keto List Singapore (launched) - directory of keto shops, restos and resources in Singapore
- SaaS Starters (published) - directory of indie-made SaaS starterkits and boilerplates. This will be the first directory shipped for Jan for 2024.
- Sleep Hacking - directory of sleep hacking tips, gear and resources
- Inclusive Design SG - directory of inclusive design organisations in Singapore
- Keyboard.sg - directory of mechanical keyboard brands and retail shops available in Singapore
- Public Design Vault - directory of tools, guides and resources for design in the public sector
- Collector Legos - directory of retiring collector lego sets? Or directory of fantasy Singapore Lego sets, based on the images I generated for Singapore using levelsio’s Brickbox generator
- Indie-made info products - directory of info products, ebooks, courses, made by indie hackers
- 3D icon of every emoji directory, using my 3D emoji generator custom gpt
- Carrd directory of useful Carrd tools and sites
- Lifelog directory of writing tools
- Newsletter directory of indie hackers building in public
- Some AI directory. Custom GPTs? Indie-made AI tools?
That’s a good working list to start. May add or remove along the way.

When I read the first sentence, I thought, “144 directories in a year??” Then I see it’s one a month, which sounds much more reasonable. Good luck, and I’m happy to contribute to the sleep hacking directory when you’re ready.

Dude! This is such a great idea. I can already see what will happen from this. You will start using your own product, and with every directory, there will come a ton of improvement ideas. The product will evolve, and will improve, as will your directories. A virtuous cycle.
