1.5 months update on Mounjaro

So far I’ve lost 8.8kg (19.4lbs) on Mounjaro! Prior to that I had lost 6kg (13.2lbs) but then plateaued for 2 months, despite eating healthy (although my portions may have been off). I’m also trying to walk on a daily basis, eating clean, and increasing protein.

My intention is not to rely solely on Mounjaro for weight-loss. I want to be healthy. I want to incorporate habits that ensure I’m taking care of my body. And as I lose fat I feel more inclined to be active in a variety of ways. Losing fat is one thing. Being fit (increasing muscles, mobility, agility, etc) and healthy (no chronic ailments) are other factors to work on. I incorporate fitness and health as part of my vision for the life I want to lead and person I wish to be.

In what ways are you taking care of your body? Do you have any tips (or struggles) you’d like to share?

Good ol’ Johnny Mounjaro. I have to say Ozempic gave me a weight-loss boost in the beginning, and now I’ve stalled out again. I am shifting my approach from focusing on the physical and chemical aspects of health to the mental and quantum realms.

This past year I did better controlling what I ate and lost weight, but now I need to build muscle. That takes so much more effort.

@haideralmosawi Wow almost 9kg! 🔥 I once lost 10kg from similar efforts, and can confirm, it’s no easy feat. That’s a great achievement there. Glad for you Haider

@knight Intermittent might help. I practiced it for a while, but now I try to have about 30g of protein in the morning and my dinner isn’t always early, so I don’t think I’m clocking 16:8 fasts.

@therealbrandonwilson Have you heard of the Gabriel Method? It relies on meditation to condition the body to accept certain ideas and to lean into a state of mind that allows greater fat-loss. I listened to a program by the creator of the method, but The Gabriel Method book, itself, isn’t available in Kuwait through Audible. 😑

@Winkletter Takes more effort and it’s not an area I’m fully comfortable with so I’m facing a bit of resistance towards it. I guess that’s why it’s called resistance training. 🤣 (@jasonleow add that to the #dadjokes)

@jasonleow Thaaaaanks! 🙏🏻

I have not heard of the Gabriel Method, but I will check it out. Thanks!
