Other than my Carrd plugins which were for profit, almost everything else I built were for personal use or productivity. I think with vibecoding and AI, this year had really been the year of experimenting and building my own tools instead of using what’s made by others.

The 3D printer of software is a good analogy here.

I love that I can just build a simple tool I need in a day, instead of using someone else’s and having to do work-arounds for features they don’t have. Key word is “simple”. I doubt it’s worth the hassle for complex tools.

Of course, no new SaaS this year, and no new revenue and revenue sources. But I’ll take the L and will move on and try something else that works with my constraints.

2026 will be the year I get real about the realities of my life season.
