4am me time

4am coding on a weekend just hits different.

100x more quiet, calm, easier to get into zone.

It’s my me time.

It’s the calm before the crazy.
It’s the work while the world sleeps.
It’s the cave-like cocoon to get into zone.

It’s so helpful to start your day in a calm, concentrated manner, helps me feel anchored and ready to face the rest of the day.
It’s the nicest feeling of accomplishment checking off your most important work for the day even before the rest of the world woke up.
It’s the best time to think and plot how to take over the world, which I should do more.

Best part? My kiddo walking in to my work room at 7am rubbing his eyes, saying good morning.

I could write every day about how I love working on early weekend mornings.

Nice! Even when I don’t have classes (a work schedule), the weekend hits different. Regardless of what OUR work commitment is, the rest of the world doesn’t go by our schedule. The weekend is when most people don’t work, which means I don’t have commitments towards others and I know I won’t be interrupted with professional requests. Other people’s expectations, I’ve noticed, plays a big role in my psyche.

YES! It’s the commitment to others that makes separates weekdays and weekends. So true.
