A year of no pillow

Just realised it’s been a year of no pillow.

A few learnings:

  • For those with tech neck, it works. I’ve mostly stopped having aches from tech neck, other than rare bad days when I use too much phone.
  • It’s not as bad as it sounds, but only so because I have forward tilt during the day from computer use. So the night feels like an extended physio session to balance it out.
  • But a few other things that helped my tech neck – daily shoulder exercises (pushups, pull-ups), a good chair, a proper monitor.
  • On rare days when neck hurts from phone overuse, I lie with head dropping off the edge of my bed to correct it more.
  • I’m a natural back sleeper, but I still needed a thin pillow when I go side sleeping (after middle of night) due to hot sleeping. Maybe I might not need a pillow if I use an air-conditioned sleeping pad. Got to test that theory out one day…

Highly recommend if you have tech neck!

I’m a side sleeper, so I don’t think no-pillow is an option for me.
