Action > Intelligence

If you’re so smart, why aren’t you happy?
Truthfully, intelligence as a marker for success is waaay over-rated in the mainstream. Your IQ of Einstein doesn’t mean jack if you can’t achieve what you want in life, even if intelligence is an enabler, even if it starts you off with a good advantage.
I don’t know but more and more I feel we need a different definition of intelligence quotient, or simply, do away with it altogether. Something like success quotient is better maybe.
After all, that’s what we want ultimately right? To achieve whatever we define as success for ourselves. Everyone has their own definition, their own criteria for benchmarking success, their own handicaps.
In internet entrepreneurship and indie hacking, an ‘intelligence’ for action, taking risks, smelling opportunity, and knowing who to leverage on, is more important than raw IQ horsepower.
In fact, being intelligent as an entrepreneur might hinder more than it help. Cue all those who are held back by perfectionism, paralysis by analysis, and over-planning, over-engineering.
Action > intelligence, for sure.
Amen. 🙏
