Acupuncture status

After five visits to the acupuncturist, I can safely say that I’ve had a noticeable improvement in my hands. For some reason, my dominant right hand is better than my left hand. My hands feel pretty good during the day. The pain/swelling seems to show up while I’m sleeping of all times. I’ll wake up an hour or two before my usual wake-up time, and I can feel the stiffness and swelling, again left hand more than right. Once I get up and get going, the symptoms subside.

I’ve been drinking the special formulation tea twice a day. I’ve also cut back on some of my supplements. The liver has had plenty to do, so might as well give it some breathing room to repair.

I’ve got one more session scheduled for tomorrow, and then I’m going to take a week off because my best friend is visiting for a week. I will probably do at least a couple more sessions to get my left hand closer to how my right hand feels. After that, I’ll ask what they recommend in terms of maintenance. Of course, this is all out-of-pocket, so it can’t last indefinitely.
