Alignment blockers

On second thoughts… maybe what I thought were abundance blockers were actually more of an alignment issue.

Like, I don’t have an issue tracking how much MRR I’m making, or how many plugins sold per month. I celebrate each dollar like it’s my birthday. Whereas if and when it’s money earned from gigs where I no longer have the heart for, but just do it for the money, I get ‘careless’.

Reflecting deeper, it’s not really carelessness, but indifference. Or even, dispassionateness.

It’s almost like I can’t wait to be done with it, and after the work is done, I almost want to forget it entirely, and move on to stuff I truly care about.

Now that isn’t something I need to work on removing, do I? This isn’t a money mindset issue, but a priority issue. A matter of alignment. Soul work vs money work.

Alignment blockers, not abundance blockers.

If and when aligned, abundance follows.

Granted, even if it’s just for the money, I should still get more serious about managing money. Reality doesn’t care if the work aligns to me or not. Money is money is money.

It is what it is.

But knowing the root issue helps with perspective. More at peace now.

(As always, writing it down helped me reflect.)

I don’t think money is money is money, because the way we make money can definitely create blockers of all types. So why pursue a way to make money that causes lots of inner friction when we can pursue money in a way that’s more aligned and will lead to greater abundance?

This is especially true when we can decide the next opportunity to pursue and we have some flexibility in choosing what to say yes to.

Yeah the key is in your last sentence. These days I often don’t feel like I have that luxury. And even within opportunities that are aligned, I still have lots of room to get better at with money management…
