Am I a maker now?

All these years, I have been sitting on the sidelines watching @jasonleow and many others write about the products they are creating. I never considered that I had the chops to be a "maker" by any stretch. I'm not a coder (despite prowess with SQL), and I understand that there are no code tools, but I never dove in to create anything until now.

One of the biggest hits of the Health Optimization Summit for me was my new biohacking event directory. I was so glad to have it live in time for the event. I've now got over 70 events, and I'm adding more every day. According to Google Analytics, I've got 223 active users so far, and I know I didn't share it with that many people. I've got a spark going and ready for it to catch fire.

This site was born out of my own frustration that no one had created such a directory. I was tired of complaining and decided to do something about it. I have no plans to monetize right now. My goal is to make it the best and most comprehensive health conference directory to get as many users as I can.

Cool! I think you have what kids in the startup world call “product-market fit”: the number of users is growing organically because you hit on a real need.
