An honest day's worth of work

I once asked a fellow consultant: Do you think a career thief gets home at the end of the day and says, 'Well, that was a dishonest day's worth of work?" She gave me a puzzled look and obviously did not get my sense of humor. Today, I put in an honest day's worth of work, yet it didn't feel like work at all.

Today was the planned event at the OsteoStrong clinic for me to perform NeuralChek scans for members. Leading up to this week, I only had two people booked and wondered if it was going to be a slow day. It was anything but. By yesterday, I had five people booked, and they all showed up. It was a good idea to set up a TidyCal booking for them to prepay, which makes them much more likely to show up.

In addition to the five booked members, I did a scan for one of the OsteoStrong employees for free, and she enjoyed it so much that she convinced three additional members to get impromptu scans. That's a total of nine scans--eight of which were paid at $66 a pop.

I had a distinct feeling during my time with these people that this is what I should be doing. My future Self would be proud.

Wohoo! You’ve achieved the coveted stage of “product-market fit”. Now it’s time to scale up your customer acquisition, which you mentioned in a recent post. 😃
