Another event

It seems like one of my things now is to go to various fairs and events centered around alternative health and new-age practices. The latest one today was an event similar to the previous psychic and healing fair that occurred the weekend before Halloween, but it was on a much smaller scale. 

In terms of the people I talked to, the overall theme centered around sound/frequency healing. I talked to a woman who sells crystal bowls and conducts Reiki/sound healings for clients. I talked to another doctor who runs a clinic that uses a Harmonic Egg resonant chamber to help people heal. This chamber uses light and specific musical tracks to elicit a response in the body. The goal of many of these therapies is to reset the nervous system and disengage people from the "flight-or-flight" mode into the "rest-and-digest" mode. It sounds cool enough that I might give it a go as an experiment and another topic for the newsletter.

I got a text this morning from my first "client" that I wrote about yesterday. She said she thinks the PEMF mat may have helped her and would like to use it a few more times before buying one. She was able to sleep for four hours, which is more than she slept the last five days. I wasn't expecting a miracle, but it sounds like she took a step in the right direction. I'm happy for her.
