April Fool's

April 1st landed on a Monday this year, and I couldn't pass up an opportunity to play a joke on my subscribers. I pretended that today's newsletter would be the last one. I really sold it in the voiceover, where I eliminated the usual intro music and started with a solemn narration. I kept it going for a bit before I revealed that it was an April Fool's joke. A couple of subscribers reached out to me and confessed that they fell for it.
I like to say that you shouldn't trust anything on the internet these days, but on April 1st, one has to be particularly wary. I've already seen several pranks show up in my inbox, including one declaring that the US government has officially banned all cryptocurrency and has begun immediate confiscation.
April 1st is a good reminder not to take life too seriously. It is easy to get caught up in daily stress and forget that life should be lived with joy. Happiness is not something you have; it's something you do.
A mantra that appears repeatedly in a book I'm reading:
I am wealth. I am abundance. I am joy.
Think it. Believe it. Live it.
