As you start to walk the way appears

A good way to know you’re doing your own thing, walking your own path, being your own person, and not living someone else’s dream, not borrowing another’s beliefs and values:
You don’t know how to proceed.
The path ahead is unclear. You got to clear the thick brush to even take one step. There’s no playbook. No SOPs. No tried and tested formula from someone more experienced, who’s been there, done that. If you can get a t-shirt for trying, then it’s not your path.
That, is when you know you’re walking your own path.
Because that path is totally unique. To you. And you alone.
And here’s the magic of it all:
As you start to walk on the way, the way appears.
As you start to walk on the Way, the Way appears.

Do we really need to walk a path that’s unique to us? I sometimes feel like we get caught up in trying to figure out what authenticity means that we end up defining it us: “What other people aren’t doing”, which kind of makes what other people do the benchmark for our lives.
Being a trailblazer and not being limited by people’s present thinking is great, but having shared experiences we can build on and achieving success that’s similar to what others have achieved in a way that’s meaningful to us can still be authentic to us. We are human beings, after all, with shared interests and needs.
@therealbrandonwilson I think we can be both at the same time and it’s not in conflict. Certain this is the overall path to take, but uncertain how.
@haideralmosawi Yeah there’s many things in life I don’t need to be unique in and I’m happy with it. I guess I’m talking about something specific that needs to be my own. I can’t quite describe it. Call it calling, soulwork or destiny.
The universe takes care of the how. 😎

My gut tells me the way you know you are walking your own path is with certainty and not doubt, but I’m open to considering this viewpoint.
