Ask me again tomorrow

It’s amazing how powerful this phrase and habit is:
“Ask me again tomorrow.”
It’s kinda like procrastination, except it’s the good kind. It’s like waiting till the next day to send an angry email.
Because whatever you’re feeling in the moment, my bet is that by tomorrow the intensity of it would have halved if not disappeared altogether. And whatever decision, angry words, reactions you wanted to have, would feel slightly more silly now. Things you felt about people, events, the world, dim after a night’s sleep. Painful facts start to feel like manageable opinions. All your struggles feel smaller the morning after.
Whatever it is, ask me again tomorrow.
