Aug 2022 vs Aug 2023:

👁 Impressions:
250k vs 655k

👣 Twitter followers:
4200 vs 8100

💵 Monthly revenue:
$400 vs $1200

Looking at the numbers, this definitely isn’t a “$10k in 10 weeks” kind of story. I had to keep reminding myself about that. Nor should that be something I aim for.

Slow is steady and steady is fast, they say. I really do hope that’s the right narrative for it.

If anything, consistency is my unfair advantage now. I can’t go monk mode for 6 months, or have the bandwidth to hustle hard for a new product. I might not be able to bring about fast and flashy success, but my life stage and household situation is structured in such a way that it affords me 1% compounding consistency. I don’t have a choice seriously, so I’ll take the cards I’m dealt with.

But despite all that, some tell me that these results aren’t nothing. Think about it objectively: It is something when one had tripled revenue and impressions, and doubled followers. A year ago I’m probably thinking I’d be happy with what I have now.

And it’s true. Because I see this everyday, it’s gets hard to see the forest for the trees, what’s good versus poor progress. Writing this down serves as a mirror, if anything.

On impatient days, I wish progress was more.
On calmer days, I work on being happy to run my own race on my own terms.

Onwards!
