Awards that don't exist but we're trying to win anyways

What award are you trying to win that doesn’t exist?

What a beautiful question!

I can definitely list more than a few awards that don’t exist but I’m trying to win anyways:

• Self-reliant, don’t need to ask for help
• Worked the hardest
• Worked the longest
• Worked the most consistently
• Did all that without needing rest
• Slept the least
• Wrote the most
• Think the most
• Had the most goals
• Had the boldest goals
• Able to juggle the most
• Multi-tasking

It’s weird. Nobody’s giving awards for these, but we/I work as if it is.

And here’s the kicker: Even when I did ‘win’ it one of these damn awards one of the days, I don’t even feel a shred of fulfilment or satisfaction. It’s on to the next deadline, target, goal.

What’s the f**king point?!

Time to stop competing for these lame awards, and go for those that truly exist, truly matter.
