Away from my (digital) HQ

It’s now 11:23PM. Today I had an exam to supervise, a couple of calls, went to a cafe to get some reading done before a 2-hour meeting. I went back home, rested for a bit, had dinner, watched an episode of Monk, then I had to pick my daughter up from my dad’s place.

It’s not that I didn’t enjoy my day, but I don’t like being away from my laptop for the whole day. My laptop has the software that I use to manage my life (TaskPaper). I’ve not created a proper collection of tools that help me stay on top of things even when I’m not on my laptop, such as setting a reminder to write for the day. I ALMOST forgot about writing for the day!

I should have a reminder or a habit-tracking app that ensures I don’t miss important habits. I’m also changing up my supplement stack, which means I need additional reminders for that. Having to check my laptop in the morning and evening (perhaps during the day soon) is not practical.

What do you do or use to ensure you are reminded of the tasks and habits you need to get done during the day?

Comments

I use the Streaks App.

@therealbrandonwilson I tried it a while back, so I’ll give it another shot. Thanks!

I see a lot of folks just defer to good old google sheets!

@jasonleow Indeed. All roads lead back to Google Sheets. Or pen and paper, depending on how far back we want to go. 😜
