Back in the market

I decided I can’t wait till other freelance opportunities show up. My runway might not last that long, sadly. Plus, looking for a job takes time, from interview rounds to receiving an actual offer. So I’m going to put myself back in the market first and start looking for jobs.

Ideal industry would be design and public sector, because that’s where my decade long experience would be most relevant. But I’m also considering something tangential, like frontend web dev, or UX engineer sort of position, since I can also code a bit.

Ideal setup would be a long term freelance remote position, then a part-time position, then a fulltime position. Reason being it’s tricky to navigate HR rules when you have existing products and existing customers, so freelance works around that. Some organisations—especially government ones—are sticky about employees doing anything outside. The challenge is I don’t wish to have to shut down any of my products. I’m too deep in indie hacking to cut off everything. It’s still my dream, and I still wish to grow in that path. So something that still allows me to do both would help.

Can I have my cake and eat it too? Let’s figure it out…

Local might be hard; try those remote job boards to work for oversea?

Yes, looking at Remote OK and other similar ones. But hard man. I’m mostly not qualified for full stack dev roles.
