Bali for education, Japan for cultivation

I’ve always said, when it comes to travel:

Ubud for restoration, Kyoto for inspiration.

But now, in the next life stage with kids, what if it is:

Bali for education, Japan for cultivation?

Bali for international school and online homeschooling most of the year, and for the peace and nature. A calm way to educate up a budding young soul, away from the crazies of modern urban life and social norms, but close enough and connected enough to not feel Luddite or far from Singapore.

Japan for extended summer exchange programmes, learning tradition, craft, principles, thoughtfulness, care, social grace. A wholesome way to cultivate a curious mind, a creative spirit, but not too long that the distance starts to feel far.

In fact, swop out the city/country, keep the intention, and it still works.

It’s not the location, it’s the approach. The freedom stack.

Can’t wait!
