Be angry

Anger is a healthy emotion.

Anger protects you.
Anger compels you to act.
Anger pushes you to enforce boundaries.
Anger is the nudge you needed to do something.

It’s the choice of action that tars anger. That’s a separate thing. Anger itself was not at fault, yet it’s the easiest to blame and scapegoat. In the same situation involving anger, someone could have chosen mindfully and acted morally. Someone else might have chosen wrongly and acted illegally. So in fact, there’s no such thing as healthy versus unhealthy emotion. There’s only healthy versus unhealthy choices and actions.

All emotions are valid.
All emotions are there to serve you.
All emotions are responses to external stressors.

So be angry.
Be sad.
Be happy.
Be disgusted.
Be scared.
Be surprised.

Welcome them all.
