Biohacking Conference Day 2

Day 2 of the Biohacking Conference was as action-packed and fun-filled as I had anticipated.
Dave Asprey gave a keynote in which he shared concepts from his latest book, Heavily Meditated. Isn't it interesting how the latest book is always the "best," "favorite," and "most important" one? Seems like it's to hell with all the other books. I've read the first couple of chapters, and so far, it is an advertisement for 40 Years of Zen.
Dave walked the audience through what he calls the reset process, designed to allow us to deal with trauma and things that trigger us. Dave says if you can be triggered by something, you're walking around with a loaded gun and someone else's finger is on the trigger. The key is to practice forgiveness, and the spark of gratitude lights the fire of forgiveness. Forgiveness is not a thought, it's a feeling.
Speaking of 40 Years of Zen, Dave announced the pre-launch of his partnership with Muse to finally provide a home experience. It's called Satoria, and the headset and accompanying app is expected to be released toward the end of the year.
I was inspired by Martin Luther King III and his wife, Regina, as they explained their continuing efforts to espouse the values of MLK and heal the world and our relationships with each other through love.
Dr. Joe Dispenza gave a talk similar to the one last year. He showed slide after slide of data showing the power of meditation. He didn't expect us to believe the miracles he's witnessed at his events: people in wheelchairs walking on their own, people legally blind regaining their sight, one woman who had 10 cm of her colon removed and had it spontaneously regenerate. Suffice it to say that meditation is extremely powerful; it may be the most important tool we have for self-transformation.
The VIP dinner provided the best meal so far, and I was able to talk with Christian Drapeau, a stem cell scientist. I asked him about the relationship between stem cells and GHK-Cu, since that is heavily touted by LifeWave. He is familiar with the company and the patches, but he said the only studies he has found show a link between GHK-Cu and skin stem cells when applied topically. I am now curious and will do a deeper dive into the research.
After the VIP dinner, we had the big peace and love dance party hosted by Steve Aoki. This is supposed to be a big deal because this guy is a premier DJ who commands hefty fees for his performances. I think he's a biohacker, and that's how Dave got him to host the party. It was an interesting mix of visuals and music. I don't have much to compare it to, but it was more enjoyable than expected.
Today is the final day of the conference, and I look forward to making more connections and making one last round through the tech hall to see if anything catches my eye.
