Blank calendar

These days, nothing thrills me more on Monday than seeing a blank calendar for the week ahead.

No workshops, no appointments, no special events, no coffees.

No nothing.

Nothing except all the time for my work and my family.

It’s a special kind of calm contentment, this blank calendar thing. Seeing entries on the week’s calendar always always gives me a small but noticeable hit of stress, or even anxiety, if it’s training workshops. Yes, even meeting people or friends. Yes, I’m shite with socializing these days.

All I want is to focus focus focus. On my goals and family.

Nothing else matters.

A blank calendar I get to choose how to spend is a major factor in how I define success. 😍

I once read an article about how Marc Andreessen doesn’t make appointments (I THINK the article was written by Marc about his productivity approach). You have to check on the day if he’s available or not and he says yes or no for the day. I believe Warren Buffett has a similar approach.
