Brain training fiend

I’ve been working on some pretty challenging SQL queries lately. In addition to that, I’ve been upping my brain training game.

I’ve been using the BrainTap regularly. I don’t use it every day, but I do like to use it some mornings as a good wake-up. I know many people like to use it right before bed, but I have not found it to be optimum.

I’ve also been using the BrainHQ on my iPad. There are a variety of exercises that train memory, focus, attention, and hearing. What I find interesting about these games is that I seem to do better when I just let go and allow my brain to tell me the answer.

Finally, my newest addition to brain training is the Mendi. This device is interesting because it feels like a cross between meditation and training. Somehow, I am improving my score each day without really knowing what I’m doing.

I’ll eventually get back to using the Six Phase Meditation Method. I have to admit, it’s far more fun using gadgets.
