Changing wheels

The more I think about it, the more the key to my dreams of a blank calendar, location independence, travel, homeschooling and being more present dad, husband, son… is to free up more time for indie hacking.

Right now I’m locked in a hamster wheel of 12-14h days with no gap to even try anything to break out of it. Yep, no time to work on those dreams. Yeah sure I earn ~$10k/m now selling my time and it feeds the family, but I can’t stop ever. I’m exhausted working such long hours but I’m stuck. It’s a vicious cycle, a hamster wheel prison. So it’s not a viable long term solution.

The virtuous cycle, the freedom flywheel looks like that:
→ freeing up some time to work on my products
→ more chances of hitting revenue-generating products
→ actually hitting on a product with product-market fit and getting to profit
→ earning stable monthly revenue
→ reaching $3k/m or more to replace at least one of my freelance gigs
→ allows me to drop said gig
→ open up even more time to indie hack
→ earn even more for me to replace the revenue from my other freelance gigs
→ allows me to drop even more gigs
→ ad infinitum till fulltime indie hacker

I need to change wheels, from hamster wheel to flywheel.

And the good news is, I think I see a small gap… gonna try execute on it and see what happens.

On…wards.
