This made me think how MRR obsession in our indie hacker circles could be the equivalent of “title” in James Clear’s quote.

Such a good reminder of what I’m really working for.

Because the revenue is the means, the lifestyle is the ends. If the means becomes the measurement, then the lifestyle goes out of the window. Not cart before horse.

And it’s easier too. Set a schedule that you like. Set your pace. Define your lane. Select your friends. Ignore the rest. Grind within those set limits and grow the revenue. No need to second guess if you should skip your kid’s birthday party, or graduation ceremony, or forgot your wedding anniversary, just because of “work”.
