Cortisol cleansing: Specifics

Ok so I said I’m going to do a cortisol cleanse:

Less coffee
More sleep
Better sleep
Less stress
More self care
Learn about stress and cortisol
Better stress management

But that’s a vague list of hopes.

Gonna get more specific:

  • Less coffee:
    • Halve my morning brew,
    • Go back to just a venti-size for post-lunch
    • No coffee after 2pm
  • More sleep:
    • Continue sleeping from 10pm-6am, earlier if possible
    • Power naps in the day if needed
  • Better sleep:
    • No more screentime before bedtime.
    • Stretch before sleep, calm breathing
  • Less stress:
    • Practice this Huberman breathing exercise more often - the fastest way to de-stress.
    • Do LESS! Pack less in the schedule.
  • More self care:
    • More Sundays off.
    • It’s a daily mindset too, looking out for opportunities to self care.
  • Learn about stress and cortisol:
    • Huberman Labs
    • Ask Perplexity AI
  • Better stress management:
    • That’s what I’m doing now! Need to get more serious about this, else it becomes a chronic health issue.
