Day 200

It’s Day 200 of 366 of my daily code commit streak. LOCKED IN.

Sometimes it feels like I’m cheating. I’m just making a tiny code edit a day. How is it any different from just creating a readme.md and making word edits?

I think the difference is, with just editing a readme.md file for 200 days, yeah sure you got bragging rights for the commit streak and a nice-looking Github chart, but it’s just vanity. You built nothing.

But 200 days on with Lists Kit, I got a complete 100-item directory (and a few others more fleshed out), all ready to be launched or marketed or whatever I want to do with it. If I simply waited till I have dedicated time to fill all 100 items into said directory, I might have never did. I would look at my site, see it still being stuck at a handful of directory items, get discouraged, do nothing, and the vicious cycle continues… till I drop the project. Sounds familiar?

Better something, than nothing at all.

That’s the key.
