Day one → one day

Day one.
You started something.
Maybe it’s Jan 1st.

On fire with purpose.
Big promises were made.
Detailed plans to make it work.

Then day 7 arrived.
Nothing yet.
No problem, you keep going.

Then day 30 arrived.
Nothing.
You feel bored already.

Then day 365 came.
Still nothing. At all.
You’re not sure you want this.

Then day… you stopped counting which day it was.
There’s something.
But after so long, you’re not sure it is what you think it is.

Then one day – liftoff.
Something really happened.
You have no doubt now.

Day one to one day… can be months. Years. Even decades.
But if that dream was worth making, then decades is worth enduring.
