$10k in 2025

The next big revenue milestone I’ve been gunning for all this while is S$10k per month. Singapore dollars.
And I just did my sums… I might be able to hit it next year in 2025, once I take on technical support work for Carrd. Just to be clear - it’s not 10k MRR. Not really from SaaS or my indie products. Most of it—80% thereabouts—will come from freelancing.
But money is money is money. I’m not complaining. And it’s stable and regular, unlike design consulting.
I’ll probably be super stretched for time once I hit that. As it is, I’m already working 4 jobs. That would bring it to 5 next year. I’ll end up with just 1-2 hours per day available for my indie products. 2-3 hours on good days. Not much. Very little, in fact. But it’s a start.
With a stable runway and less existential anxiety, I can start making better, calmer decisions. Slowly build my products. Increment the MRR pie ever so slightly bigger each month… Perhaps. There’s no guarantee that will happen of course, but at least the conditions next year are better for it to arise! You can’t will a plant to grow even if you give it sunlight, water and soil, but at least there’s a chance; without those conditions, growth is next to impossible.
Some light at the end of the tunnel… finally!
(And it ain’t the headlights of a train lol!)

how the support work will goes ? by hour rate?
i thought you going to stop your design thinking training?
Moving in the right direction!

@drodol Yes it is a lot of progress, you’re right! I should tell myself that. 🥹 First 10k in revenue, next, 10k in mrr! 1-2h feels little for me, so got to really double down on the consistency habit
@knight Yes, stopping design thinking training next year, that’s why took on the support role to cover back up. Yes by hour rate, 2h per day.
@therealbrandonwilson Yes indeed! Long time coming but finally feel the ship’s following` in the right star

Well, maybe it’s not the consistency for the 1-2h but the sharpening of what to actually do in those precious moments!

KAAAAAK! The train headlights got me 🤣
@haide haha a friend would always say that joke to me whenever I used “finally some light at the end of tunnel”

This feels like a lot of progress Jason, and even though it will not be MRR, it’s one more step of the way there. Also, 1-2 hours per day is not bad for your own products!
