Don't over-complicate it

“We cannot put off living until we are ready. … Life is fired at us point-blank.” – Jose Ortegay Y. Gasset

I’m tired of overthinking, over-worrying, over everything.

Tired of thinking about money, worrying about survival, worried if I can ever launch my next product, concerned about finding a job, procrastinating about my next product idea, thinking thinking thinking.

Reflection has its purpose, writing daily to think is helpful, and living a reflective life is all good and all. It’s all well and good to plan and think things through, but there comes a point when an over-active mind becomes a liability. I think I’m hitting it right now.

Time to just act, don’t think.

Just like the popular Zen story:

“When one is hungry, one eats; when one is tired, one sleeps.”

Why? Because “when most people eat, they don’t just eat; their mind are preoccupied with a thousand different fantasies. When they sleep, they don’t just sleep; their minds are filled with any number of idle thoughts.”

Don’t over-think.

Don’t over-complicate it.
