Early finish = Good sign

For the first time in… so many months I lost count, I finished work early this week. Like big early. Two hours early.

By chance, I had to work less just for today for one of my gigs as I overclocked on budgeted hours this week. The other customer support gigs also turned out quite smooth and easy to handle today, so no overtime. It also helped that I’ve also stopped spending much time on Twitter.

A rare planetary alignment!

Two hours doesn’t sound like all that much, but it’s a big deal to me.

For months I was just rushing hour to hour, packed tight minute to minute. There was no give, no gap. I could hardly breathe.

But today, a rare chink in the armour.

It’s a good sign, a hopeful sign.
The first of such signs I hope.

The more effective and efficient I get, the more such gaps will come.
