Emotion tells

Anger is good at telling us there is a problem.
Anger is not good at telling us the source of the problem.
Anger is very bad at telling us the solution to the problem.
Let’s build on that.
Anxiety is good at telling us there’s a problem we feel unsure about.
Anxiety is not good at telling us what exactly what we are unsure about.
Anxiety is very bad at telling us how to overcome whatever is causing us anxiety.
Pain is good at telling us there is something wrong with our body.
Pain is not good at telling us what caused the pain, and where it spread to.
Pain is very bad at telling us why the pain started, and what to do to remove it.
Happiness is good at telling us we like something.
Happiness is not good at telling us why it made us happy.
Happiness is very bad at telling us how it can keep making us happy.
And so on.
So true. Most of my self-inflicted problems stem from my brain misunderstanding the source of my emotions.
