Saw this in my LinkedIn feed about energy takers vs energy givers:

Makes so much sense. Screw productivity hacks. Being productive is mostly about removing more things from the takers and adding more things from the givers.

Now I wonder: What’s my list these days?

Energy takers:

  • Spending anything more than 1-2h on Twitter
  • Reading about—or worse, being entangled in—drama/outrage on social media
  • Getting into (stupid) arguments
  • Having to interact with toxic people
  • Overthinking, overworrying
  • Mindlessly getting through the day
  • Doing what I’m not aligned to

Energy givers:

  • Daily morning exercise
  • Enough sleep
  • Good quality sleep
  • Making breakfast with son
  • Eating a nice steak
  • Mindfulness meditation
  • Working with intention and mindfulness
  • Setting objectives for the day/week
  • Decompressing to relieve stress
  • Working on something I’m inspired by

What else?
