Entrepreneur vs business:

Which game is harder?

Building a business, or building the person you have to become to run the business?

I’d say, the latter.

The person you have to become as an entreprenur is harder than running the business.

I had to:

  • Overcome the dirty feeling of marketing in order to do marketing
  • Change chronotype from night owl to early birdie
  • Learn how to code when I hated math
  • Build in public when I’m an introvert
  • Sell and pitch to clients when I hate self-promotion
  • Raise prices and charge more when I just want to give for free

Business is easy.

Being the person running the business… 10x harder. 100x.

BUT 100x more fulfiling.

No risk no reward, like they say.

I would extend your logic to any goal — the identity transformation into the person who has what you want is the heavy lift.

@therealbrandonwilson YES. Any goal worth it’s weight will require that hard transformation
