I’m writing out a “Learn more” page for Lifelog. It’s kind of like a pitch deck, but in one web page. The aim is to share in detail Lifelog’s unique proposition, and increase conversion.

I want to build this in public, especially with the Lifelog community here. So guys, would love some feedback on the first iteration of the copy below.

  • Does it resonate with you?
  • Is that an accurate depiction of your writing experience here?
  • What works, what doesn’t work so well?
  • What can be improved?
  • What’s missing?

Founder’s note: Why I built Lifelog

Having wrote daily for 2 years straight, I’m a big believer in the power of writing to think, plan, imagine and realising your goals. Those who are revving up for a change in 2021 with ambitious goals, join us!

I spent 3 months on this… coding the functionality bit by bit, realising it can actually work. Then building the writing UI from 0. I’d not worked this hard on a software product before, but pleased with how much fun I had

Best part, I’m making a tool for myself as I cont my daily words in 2021. It’s kinda freeing to know, even if no one else uses this, it’ll still be useful to one user (me!). But of cos, I’m banking on that there’s folks like me out there who enjoy writing, thinking and achieving.

Who this is for

  • You always wanted to write more, but not too much.
  • You want to live more intentionally, with greater awareness.
  • You’re bored of writing alone in your journal or blog.
  • You know writing helps you get clarity for your goals, but want forcing function to make it habitual.
  • For creators & creatives - creators in some way, or creative in disposition
  • People who are in the writing+goals space might also be interested in these topics:
  • productivity
  • creativity
  • performance
  • achievement/success
  • habit hacking
  • biohacking
  • developers
  • early adopters
  • content creation
  • marketing
  • personal development
  • tech/startups

Who this is not for

  • Literary writers - Lifelog isn’t for literary writers wanting to write their next novel, even if they can join if they want to. There’s many authoring platforms out there that track word count and other authoring metrics better than Lifelog
  • Not a critique community - if you’re looking for a community to critique your writing skill, this might not be it.
  • Social media content scheduler

Tech stack

Built with Nuxt.js/Vue.js + Bulma on frontend, and Strapi on backend, all hosted on Heroku.

Comments

My brain is empty at the moment, but I will come back to this when I can cobble together some coherent feedback.
