Fire Horse

Happy Lunar New Year! It’s the year of the Fire Horse.

Last year was the year of the Snake. Snake years emphasise introspection, planning, emotional and mental “shedding”, and sorting out priorities beneath the surface.

Which turned out to be pretty spot on:

• I stopped all my design consulting altogether. Gave away my workshop gear. Didn’t renew my domain names.
• Sorted out what we wanted as a family, and that was relocation. Shedding the worries and obligations was a big thing… still ongoing in fact.
• Acknowledged I was not in the right life stage for hustling on a SaaS. This was hard.
• Took a long hard look at my health, and prioritized self-care. This was even harder.

Horse years emphasise movement, bold decisions, social activity, and seizing opportunities that may have been incubating during the Snake year.

Good time to speed up on:

• Relocation plans - visa, school, accommodation
• Health and fitness - routine, lower back, sleep, stress
• Work on a product that works for me now
